...RUFFORD CERAMICS FAIR...

the ceramics gang from decorative wents to rufford county park for the annual ceramics fair , it was a nice opportunity to look at some beutiful work made by the proffessionals and sell a little of our own!

stephen, anna and our tutor jude hanging out by our stand.

the decoration on these bowls is handdrawn using special ceramic pencils and i love how the potter has written his prices on pebbles!

these are made by the same guy, i loved them so much, he has applied gold leaf to the inside so they glow magically.

these were actually made by a friend of a friend wendy johnson, i thought the little wall hanging boxes were very sweet and i love the patterns and pastle colours.

i love this pea pod dish and bowls set!

this is lucianna gallucci she is an ex decorative arts girl herself, i visted her parents house in the country once to interview her for a project.

this is the work of nottingham based potter katrin moye, i have also been to her house for the purpose of interviews, she was a great help when i was researching for my dissertation, her work is functional and she uses patterns from her own memories.

although this work isnt my favorite i love the old newspaper covered boxes that she has used for display.

i loved the faded colours of these boats, can't quite put my finger on it but i really like them.
