...my love of huge, sparkly earrings led me to a very fun and creative project earlier this year...i designed and made felt earrings for an open house event taking place in brighton and hove throughout may...the studio i was based at was albert mews studio run by martha mitchell (ceramic and homeware), lizzie lock (millinery) and rebecca cluett (hose tights)...the problem i have always found with big earrings is that they are so heavy but by using felt these earrings can be worn all day and night...i created symmetrical patterns and shapes by hand sewing glass and metal beads and using net tulle and big arcylic gems...the findings are solid silver so no horrible reactions on the skin...
